I first picked up a camera in 2019, but I wasn't really hooked until two years later when I first tried closeup and macro nature photography. I love exploring the strange and beautiful world of small creatures and plants, and the challenge of photographing subjects in the wild.
During all of 2022, I worked as a product photographer, but found that doing photography as a job took most of the fun out of it. These days, I enjoy hiking as much as taking pictures, and I usually aim to make images for wallpapers on computers and phones.
I occasionally upload my images as free stock photos on Unsplash.

Flash: Nikon SB-500 AF speedlight with a Fotocreate 12" collapsible round softbox diffuser, and hot shoe cord so I can hold the flash over my subject.
Color in the vast majority of my images is calibrated with a white balance card.
